and one recently decided to come my way.
and now i am stuck.
3 different paths to take.
but which one is the right one?
path 1: continue living my life the way it is.
path 2: the same, with one simple tweak.
path 3: what may bring a whole new life.
so what are the paths even? gymnastics.
stay at my gym?
switch to a new gym?
or completely switch sports. (like my dad wants)
i have no idea. right now i kind of think i like #2.
its not that i don't like my gym. its just i like change i guess...
and right now where i am at there are lots of definite benefits of switching gyms.
but i still love my gym. the coaches. the girls.
but people come and go. and lots of my friends have already gone. and i think more are going to soon. i am not sure when. but everyone has their time. and i guess this is mine.
but it isnt all about friends. which is why i might switch. the other gym is bigger. they are slightly more competitive. and they have a bigger team.
and then there is option #3. my dad wants me to switch to volleyball and track. they are high school sports and he wants me to be involved and also learn sports that could last my entire life. which obviously gymnastics would not. and i have nothing against either of those sports. its just if i quit gymnastics. my life would completely change. gymnastics has been my life for almost half my life. its where i live. its what i do. and without it? i am not really sure what would happen. maybe i am scared. scared to find out. scared to try something new. like volleyball.
its not the sport. or the girls. i don't know what it is. maybe its the fact that they have all been playing since they were like 7. and i am 14. and want to start up? maybe with lots of practice. which i would be willing to dedicate. i just.. i don't know.
there are stages in your life. and right now i'd say i'm in the teenager in school stage. which means i have 4 years left. and i think maybe volleyball could be the right choice. along with track. gymnastics takes up lots of my time. and i am with girls from different schools. and it isn't a school sport. volleyball would also take up lots of time, but, i would be with girls from my school, on a school team. its different. i think i could maybe do it. but i am just scared. if people heard i wanted to try volleyball. yeah they would probably laugh. i mean i am not that type of girl. i am a gymnast. and i guess maybe i am afraid to be anything else. which is not how it should be. i should open to new things. new plans. i thought i liked change. but now i'm not so sure. gymnastics was one of the things in my life that never changed. even when everything else did. gymnastics didn't. but maybe i need to be more daring. do what i never thought i would. i guess you never know unless you try. (: i'll start with option #2.
