Some people say choosing your friends is the most important decision you make in your teenage years.
i never really thought my friends mattered that much, or that they were a problem, and i guess at first they weren't...
in elementary school i had great friends, we of course had our ups and downs but they always came through.
then junior high. brought in a whole new crowd and for me a whole new group of friends. so now i had two groups of friends. and in 7th grade it worked. in 8th grade... things changed. i wanted so badly for things to work out. i tried to change things. make things last. people changed. maybe i changed. but the point is. i found the difference between good and bad friends. and now, i am blessed with the most amazing friends in the world. don't take it the wrong way. i wasn't hanging out with all the druggies. ;) to everyone else, they look like perfect little innocent fun good girls. but once you get to know them they aren't that way. i see what everyone else doesn't see from being inside their group. and i see the difference between who i am and who i would've or could have been. but honestly i dont regret at all the time i spent with those friends. which was alot. but because of it, i am a better person. i am stronger. i improved myself. i learned to stand up for what i knew was right. i learned how not to be. (: and most importantly i learned how much friends do effect you. in every aspect. i learned how mentally they were destroying me. they would put me down jokingly, but it still hurt, they would dtich me, they weren't nice to me, then when their other friends would ditch them, they would come running back to me. their life was always full of drama and stress. they may not show it but it was. and its cause they were always jerks to each other. them without sercretly hating atleast one person in that group is unheard of.
other people sometime are jealous of that group. i probably would have been too. but i know who they really are. i have seen everything about them. they were my best friends. i know their secrets. their weaknesses. i was one of them. at the time everything they did seemed like so much more fun then what my other friends were doing. i started to choose them over my good friends. but i realized what i was becoming. what they were becoming. and watched them get weaker as i watched my other friends get stronger.
i had to choose. i made my choice. now i know both sides. i can physically see how different friends effect you. i know what its like to be on either side. i got the choice. and i am glad i was blessed to make the right one. so thanks guys, thanks for being there for me... no matter what, even if sometimes i wasn't the greatest friend ever. even when sometimes i may have chosen them over you... you saw what they were doing to me, and you didnt give up on me. i would choose you over them anyday. (:

these are the amazing friends i am blessed with now. the ones that continually make me better. the ones that want whats best for me. they all have amazing testimonies that strengthen me. i don't know what i would do without them. i love you guys (:
I am so, so glad you are Beths friend. I love you to pieces!
