exclamation points. drive me crazy for the most part. and i believe they should only be used in sitiations which you are very happy or when you are yelling. which also usually drives me crazy. but if i get really excited you may on occasion see me use one.
commas. i don't particularly enjoy these either. but yes sometimes when i feel they are necessary they will be used.
question marks? i rather enjoy these actually. they are pretty self explanatory. when you are wondering or questionting something. so in these sitiations i will most likely use them. but they too musn't be overused.
periods. my favorites. why? i am not quite sure. but i like them. but they give off no emotion whatsoever to the reader. which is why i like...
smiley faces. by far the best. they change the mood of the sentence.
i love blogging. sounds somewhat dull and lame.
i love blogging. (: shows that it truly makes me happy and i love it. totally changes it.
sometimes on occasion i would even throw them into essays or research papers. only if it was a happy sentence though. you see they aren't like a period that you can use after everything pretty much. they have to be used with some tlc. (: and only to be used on thoughts that make me smile.

but yes the smiley face remains as my favorite punctuation mark. (: so i am sorry if you don't enjoy them. because i am a happy person. and personally, i adore them.
