we conquered the mountain (full post)

it started in the small parking lot around 9:30 am. the sky was a brilliant blue with only a few clouds

.the weather was crisp. not to hot but not to cold.

9:30 am. their journey began. 5 teenagers. (2 parents) and a very tall mountain to get to the top of. timp.

they saw beautiful sites

took occasional snack breaks

almost got blown off of the saddle. 

(where a dog ate jenn's sandwhich.)

and after 5 hours. lots of sweat. sore feet. and tired legs. 

they made it to the very top.

they looked at the view. 

and signed the book.

and began the decent back down. 

it included cliffs.

sliding down the glacier.

and mountain goats. whaa?

and after 81/2 hours. 

only tripping once.
getting know each other a little bit more than necessary. 

consuming lots of water.

meeting hillbillies.

lots of singing.
using words such as: stupendously, extravagant, majestic, superb, dandy, chipper, and magnificent.

a couple of cute boys.

and a few shortcuts.

they arrived back at the small parking lot. 

and said goodbye to that trail.
