no not at all. gymnastics was going great. some days are off days. and today wasn't one of them. it was a good day. and i was in a good mood. we went to bars. and my hands hurt like heck. but that's ok. and i may have ripped a macho chunk of skin off. and it wouldn't stop bleeding but hey, i'm used to it. like i said i was in a good mood. so then we get sent to beam. and what does she say? oh yep that's it... lets make 50 back walk overs... in 15 minutes. well you see this honestly wouldn't be a problem if my back wasn't absolutely killing me.
well first off here is a little history. my back, it struggles a whole lot. it used to just be unflexible. (how ironic right? a gymnast with a not flexible back.) but as time went on it started to hurt. i would try to ignore the pain but of course it just got worse. and within the last month or so it has gotten tons worse. to the point where every time i bend it i have to hold the tears back from my eyes. to the point where sometimes if i sit in class to long it starts to throb just from sitting there. or standing to long? it kills me.
well back to the story. i have my good days and my bad. some days it refuses to bend all together. and some days it doesn't hurt as terribly. well today's status was throbbing excessively. but only slightly more so than a usual back walk over day. and luckily today it was slightly flexible. so i got started. 1, 2, 3, look back and go. i would bite my tongue to try and keep the tears from coming. (note that my pain tolerance is close to that of a paper cut.) and my back. it hurt. terribly. but i've learned to endure the pain. i tried to go quickly to keep it from stiffening up. i was doing pretty good actually. i was making them quickly and holding the tears back.
well apparently my brain got the memo that my back wasn't doing to great and the tears were released. i tried to hide them at first. i hurried over to get a drink. i said a prayer. and tried to continue on. but i couldn't. i tried taking deep breaths but i guess my time of month got the best of me and tears came out. everyone thought it was because of my back. which yes it did hurt, but only slightly more than every other day. i guess the tears figured that since tom is here for a visit it would be alright to finally come out of hiding. our time was up for the back walk overs and obviously i didn't finish but its ok no one else did either. i gathered myself back together and once again was perfectly fine.i stretched my back out a little and was able to continue on. how embarrassing. i promise i wasn't just faking it so i could get out of it. my back really did hurt terribly. i was doing good too. better than usual at not thinking about it. i was focused and getting it done. honsetly i could've endured the pain through those last few. so then why does aunt flow always have to get the best of me at the most inconvenient times?
