when bed time seemed like a punishment,
and your math homework could be done by counting on your fingers.
no one cared what brand of clothes you wore, or how your hair looked.
when you didn't have to worry about wearing make-up.
when you would enjoy late nights sliding down the stairs in sleeping bags and playing dolls.
when no one cared about what others thought, and never tried to be someone they weren't.
when boys really weren't a concern,
and the biggest of your friend problems was when she didn't call you to play..
why do things have to change..?
Who says they have to?
ReplyDeleteI am totally up for some sleeping-bag sledding. (:
Oh yes, those were the days, weren't they? Just by the way, you better be at school Monday, or I will die for sure. And also, I love your blog. Alot.
ReplyDeletebut all we wanted when we were nine is to be a big kid.
ReplyDeleteand to stay up late and such.
human desires are twisted.
...and to play a continuous game of kelly's all summer with your best friend. well that was when we were 5 but still better then now.
