calm down. we all lose sometimes.

i can be competitive, i love the thrill of winning, but usually as long as i've done my best, i'm satisfied.
my life kind of revolves around "everything happens for a reason." so if i didn't win, either i didn't work hard enough, or it wasn't meant to be. i learn my lesson, and life goes on.
but some people, are so competitive.
their entire lives are competition.
boys. sports. grades. clothes. student council elections. popularity. life?
i can't take it..
they're some of the nicest sweetest people, but when it's your best friends, and they start to get so competitive that it seems to hurt your friendship, is it really worth it?
whenever any of these get brought up, the conversation immidiately switches to how you're going to win all of them. not us. and well, don't we have a chance too?
then you act like it doesn't matter, but we know it does,  if he likes her, if she wins instead of you, if they beat you in that race, the back-talking will start, the insecurities arouse, and drama.
we can't all win at everything, none of us are perfect.
life isn't a contest. and sometimes i wish people would realize that...
