if my life were the bachelorette.

i have to pick a boy. 

to take on the "ice cream date" for my teen living class.

i already chose contestant #2. but then that other girl beat me to it. 

contestant #1, we'll call you Jason. 

i almost liked you. and i know you liked me. (and my best friend) but i've realized there is no way it would ever work out, me liking you. i can honestly say you're one of my best friends, and i really do enjoy talking to you. i know that when i get done with gymnastics at night i'll have a text waiting from you. and it makes my day. (: i liked sitting by you at the track meet when i was freezing cold, but in a best friend way, not an, i like you sort of way. i could take you, but you'd over-react, and assume i was in love with you. but we're just friends...

contestant #2, you can be Sam. 

you seem to be ranking pretty high as of lately. a week ago, i could honestly say i didn't like or have a crush on anyone. and the moment you walked into seminary, i thought wow, there's a new kid that's actually cute? we should become friends. it kind of went from there. really quickly. awkward? there is absolutely nothing awkward about you. that's why you'd be my first choice. you're hilarious. easy-going. you sing incredibly.(including all the hymns in seminary). your a swimmer.  and a basketball player. and extremely sweet. and i like you?  to bad you're taken. 

contestant #3. he will be Jesse. 

i liked you for a really really long time. and probably still would if i hadn't given up. you just put yourself to high up there. perhaps people would say your stuck up. and maybe you are, if you don't care for someone, you just don't talk to them. and the bad things is, you like me at one point. even if it was for a very short period of time. i just have a bad feeling that it would be really awkward for both of us. 

contestant #4, how about Alex. 

you're the swimmer. with extremely nice hair. (almost) and so adorable. but you're a punk. you're the hugest flirt ever. with every girl you encounter. it wouldn't be awkward to ask you, but all your little posse would completely over-react. and then you might be awkward about it. and then we maybe wouldn't be friends because you'd avoid me because you'd think i was in love with you...

contestant #5, you will be Josh. 

you're the basketball jock. but you're soo shy. we kind of know each other, and i wouldn't mind asking you at all. but considering how shy you are, it could go really badly... because i'd be the one talking the entire time. 

contestant #6, let's say Cade. 

well i talk to you a lot and you're a really funny kid, but you pretend to be in love with my best friend. i know she wouldn't care, and i know you would say yes. you wouldn't be my first choice. no one would freak out because it wouldn't seem real. and if all else fails it might be you.

contestant #7, you are Logan. 
you're such a nice sweet kid. and it wouldn't be awkward. i just like you as a friend, maybe i'll ask you...? 

of course there's other choices. but those are the ones i've considered so far... 

the only one of those that i really like is #2. and he's taken. 

so now, i'm stuck.
