warm and sunny...?

(i understand how overdue these posts are :)

we left utah expecting sunny skies, warm beaches, and to return with perfect tans.

little did we know, we would see the sun a total of twice, and be cheering when the temperature reached 72*

but that didn't stop us from going to the beach (:

so we started out on the pier... 

and eventually made our way to the water. 

 we had the entire beach to ourselves (: 

apparentally the overcast skies scared everyone else off?

naturally, i played in the sand (:

and... got to swim with dolphins? this obviously isn't the greatest picture, but they came about 20 feet away from us and were just swimming and jumping around! 

and a trip to the beach isn't complete without swimming... so we put on wet suits and climbed into the freezing cold water.

i'm pretty sure the beach is my favorite place on earth (:
perhaps we should have a beach in utah?
