you find yourself driving the wrong direction on the street, because little did you know, many of the streets are one way.
you go over 5+ stacked bridges, and there are places where it's ok to switch from the right to the left side of the road while still going the same direction.
1 out of every 10 cars is a sports car. (the ones that you freak out when you see in utah)
and instead of playing the slug bug game you play the mini van game.
you hear stories about how the neighbors decided to "switch sides", how drive by shootings used to occur monthly, or how the roar of the protestors outside of the church interrupted your cousin playing "i am a child of God" on the violin during sacrament meeting. and how they had to have the police guard the church building.
when the view out your back window is the MGM (the lion roar at the beginning of movie's) building, and the century city skyline.
the beach is only an hour drive away.
when you go to the temple to do baptisms and your dad ends up baptizing chelsie hightower (from dancing with the stars)
or when you sit next to dr. 90210 in church, and behind you is Larry King's wife and kids.
and all this was observed and experienced in less than a week of staying there with my grandma.
imagine the life you would live, if you grew up in downtown L.A.
