summer oh'leven

-started out with our typical walk to taco amigo and then all around town.
-held a bonfire for burning homework with cute boys.
-participated in to much drama for my own good but realized how much my friends mean to me.
-laying out on the swing set just thinking about life.
-sucessfully floated the river at girls camp. 
-pranked other wards with a fake.. wolf?
-met a man who lived in a cave.
-fell asleep to the sound of crickets.
-making pictures out of melted taffy at seven peaks.
-consuming more strawberries than healthy and making tons of new friends in the process.
-organized a parade and dealt with sassy pagaent moms and flirted with cute boys.
-strawberry days being one of the most fun weeks of the summer.
-getting stuck on the boat and waiting as we floated to shore.
-not spending time with old friends and growing much closer to new ones.
-only a few days spent at the pool but lots more at seven peaks.
-coaching little girls in gymnastics and truly loving every single one of them.
-going to girls camp and of course absolutely loving it.
-having long talks at night in the tent with kassie.
-letting a cute kid convince me to go down freefall.
-attending the cutest tea party in the entire world.
-car rides filled with sleeping and coloring books.
-going to lake powell and being paranoid about skin cancer.
-not getting nearly as amazing of a tan as last year.
-hard days at gymnastics and being to exhuasted to do anything else all day.
-being eaten alive by mosquito's while sleeping out and looking like quasimodo.
-walking to the temple with the young women.
-spending lots of time with my cousins from oregon and loving them so soo much.
-became best friends with a girl from spain and after a month had to let her go.
-hanging out with the hamilton's often and adopting them as a second family. 
-long days out on the boat, relaxing and letting summer soak in.
-going camping with lots of neighbors and having long talks with kasja by the campfire.
-continuing to only eat to much chocolate whenever smore's are offered.
-becoming pro (pratically) at surfing and being able to ride it without the rope.
-getting a job at kneaders and continually having mixed feelings towards it.
-being to busy and having friends that are to busy to ever find time to play.
-thinking lots about high school and actually being excited for school to start.
-hiking to pride rock. 
-finishing all school shopping way to early and getting tons and tons of free clothes.
-taking clothes that i didn't particularly love and sewing them to fit perfectly.
-mowing the lawn not nearly enough but still having it be way to much for me.
-eating more freezer food than healthy.
-late summer nights with campfires, heart to hearts, star gazing, and movie parties.
-doing tons and tons of back to school shopping and being grateful for previously mentioned job..
-playing with alana and anaka tons and having soo much fun. 
-hiking the G for the first time since i was like six.
-riding my bike home from gymnastics and hating it. 
-played modern warfare. and kicked butt. epically failed..  
-playing with jess- ditching scary movies, walking to macey's, spray painting shirts, just hanging out. (:
-taking naps almost daily between teaching and work. 
-letting nicole leave me for a month, but celebrating her return with a picnic by a pond.
-surprise visit from our montanan efy friend whitney and playing with her all night. 
-kicked a wall, split my toe open, and had to get stitches.
-managed to stay super busy
-wished more than anything i was going to efy
-ordered pizza for the first time.
-getting 5th for girls in a 5k and thinking i was going to die. 
-lots of pool parties at the gymn and loving my eleven and twelve year old friends.
-almost pulled an all nighter with the cousins. 
-having soo much fun at education week and absolutely loving it. 
-spending a couple hours in the high school determined not to get lost. 
-going to the most amazing stake dance ever in AF. 
-chalking not nearly enough, but still doing so.
-having spiritual experiences. 
-laying out on the swingset tanning. mostly for the relaxation factor. 
-fantasizing about summer loves,  not having one and enjoying a boy-free summer. 
-missing all my friends sooo much.
-and being more excited than ever for school to start. 
-and finishing it off with a long day of surfing, a super fun pool party, and an amazing stake dance. 

this summer was soo great.
soo much time was spent at the gym working out and teaching.
i learned to enjoy my job at kneaders, despite the awkward co-workers.
and most importantly i've looked back seeing the trials that honestly strengthened me.

this summer seemed to last forever, and i've missed everyone soo much.
we're going to be in high school. and i can't even wait.

  1. It sounds like you had one awesome summer! I wish we could have hung out this summer though.
    You are skilled when it comes to drawing with chalk.
