there's no point in beating around the bush. or trying to make this pretty.
so here. a temporary ending to our little story.
he was a boy. who claimed it was love at first sight. i was the girl. too stubborn to let her heart break again.
he didn't give up. she gave in. they were in love.
it was perfect. it was amazing. and it was completely necessary for that time in her life.
she was living a chick flick. every word spoken, every little thing that happened.
she was happier than ever before, and he claimed to be the same way.
her first kiss happened, and it was absolutely perfect.
they hit a rough patch, but she loved enough to quickly forgive. no one understood why, but she knew this was someone she didn't want to give up.
things went downhill from there. and long story short. she began caring more, and he began to care less.
she realized this. and tried to let herself fall for other boys.
but no matter what, they still weren't him.
things weren't the same. he wasn't the same. and maybe she wasn't either..
but she realized this wasn't the boy she had fallen in love with.. and maybe she wasn't getting him back.
and i guess that's where we currently stand.
i honestly don't know what's going on anymore. everything seems fake. you say nothing's wrong but everything you do says otherwise. i'm done argueing over stupid things. and really it's plain and simple. i miss the way it used to be. i miss the old you. the one that didn't give up on me no matter what. the one who claimed he could never love another. but it looks like i'm just another girl here to prove that statement wrong. i miss the way you loved me. but it looks like it isn't coming back... saturday and last night i saw the real you. the one that made me fall so hard. the reason i loved. so i ignored everything else. but apparently that's not the way it's going to be.. because other than that i feel like all i've done is get in the way. whatever i did.. i'm sorry. i loved you. really that's all there is to it.
maybe that wasn't short.
but surprisingly, it was the simple version.
this isn't a boy problem. i've learned to get past those..
this is a best friend problem. which is a million times worse.
sounds a little like we need to have a talk soon?
ReplyDeletei love ya brit(:
