mentally, and emotionally, with friends, my confidence, everything was faltering.
i was sick of feeling judged, or not good enough. trying so hard..
wondering whether or not i had true friends, and if they even cared.
watching guys falling left and right for every girl except me.
the standards i felt i had to live up to.
being surrounded by everyone's pessimistic attitudes.
all of it was coming down, hard.
so i ran away. to a place where none of that mattered.
where i didn't have to worry about what anyone thought, or about fitting in, or impressing people.
a place where it didn't matter if any guys liked me. and i knew no matter what i was accepted.
i didn't ever have to doubt whether or not they were true friends.
it was the place where i first found myself. where my roots were planted.
where i became everything i am. and where i gained my confidence.
all the things that lately, i feel like have gotten lost, or buried.
and i knew they needed to be discovered again.
i returned to my gym. pslg. my second home. (my gymnastics gym with my team)
and realized, it truly was one of the biggest blessings of my entire life.
all the worldly things that have gotten all caught up around me.
but as i spent time in there, they all began to fall away.
i left changed, renewed. happier. and reminded of what's really inside of me.
and i remembered the girl that i know i am. (:
