born and raised in this cute little city, i've fallen into the cliche thinking that this is life.
when i say 'life's moving so quickly, and i'm doing all i can to keep up.' it means my days are filled with long nights working at kneaders, too much homework, and hanging out with friends on weekends inbetween.
i live in a town, where i can pull from memory only 10 street names. but the area is so familiar, i could tell you how to get anywhere. it's a town where there's an lds church on almost every corner. (not literally but atleast 20 within a 5 minute drive) where our escape is the water tower. and we're surrounded by beautiful mountains that few take advantage of. if you forget to lock your car or your house at night, most likely, nothing's even going to happen.
we're in this mindset, that we'll graduate high school, go on a mission and experience a little bit of culture shock, then return to maybe graduate college, find a pretty little boy and marry him fast, and raise a family, most likely still here or somewhere pretty close by, in utah. where really, the living is pretty easy.
and alright, given that was extremely judgemental, and even if not, there's nothing wrong with that.
i just feel like there's so much more to life.
more than my childhood dream of being a cosmetologist and teacher.
more than getting married right away and raising my kids at a high school i attended or one close by.
there's more out there than utah county.
the beaches, the views, the adventures, the skylines, those aren't just for pictures and vacations; they're filled with real people, living real lives.
and one day, i'll be out there too.
i don't want to just see it. i want to experience it; i'm going to live it.

.
this is flawless, britt. it's so true! i realize that too sometimes and then I get a bad case of wanderlust! I love the ideas you have and I'm so glad you put them on this here blog for us to read :)
