a blast from the past...

throughout my life i have changed.
i've had my up's and down's and i've slowly started to find out who i will be.

-in my early elementary school yaers, i was an extremely shy little girl. i got scared being around people i didn't know very well, feared unfamiliar situations, and it scared to be have to be away from my mom.

-in 3rd and 4th grade i opened up a little more. i started to make more friends and realized i could do things on my own.

-in 5th grade, i developed my first real crush. which led me to get out of my comfort zone. i was no longer in a little bubble, i was lots more social and expanded to make a few new friends.

-in 6th grade i was beginning to find out who i was. i was confident and didn't care what others thought of me, i was bubbly and talkative but kept to my own close group of friends.

-in 7th grade, i was extremely outgoing and bubbly. i was loving this new life of junior high and all the new friends i was making.

-in 8th grade, towards the beginning of the year, i finished the book of mormon for the first time by myself, my grandma died, and i started to gain my own testimony.
-i fell in what i thought was "love" for the first time. i got my heart broken but of course slowly put it back together.
- about half way through the year, i started to get pushed out of the group of friends that i had made in 7th grade. people started talking bad about me behind my back which was new for me. my sense of belonging and confidence started to waiver, and the testimony i had started to fade. i realized what they were doing to me, and finally ditched them towards the end of the year
-through it all i had stayed close with old my friends and realized they were my true friends.

to be continued....

2 nephi 2:11

"For it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things... if not so, righteousness could not be brought to pass, neither good nor bad... neither happiness nor misery"

bad days happen. it's life. but how can we recognize the good things in life if the bad aren't there?
today. was amazing. and maybe yesterday just made today seem that much better (: maybe it really was a blessing. a reminder to me to read my scriptures, and say my prayers. to remind me that God loves me and is always watching over me (:

hey, soul sister...

so there's this girl. named beth. and i think we're soul sisters. actually i know we are.
we think alot a like and often get confused for each other. and too often i hear myself repeating things she constantly says.
she's someone that i should probably stay friends with for the rest of my life because she knows literally everything about me. probably more than she ever wanted to. there is nothing that i can't tell her. and i completely trust that she won't tell a soul.
i first saw her when i was in probably 4th grade or the summer before 5th. i thought she was really cute and i thought i think we should be friends. so in 5th grade when we were in the same class i knew it wasn't coincidence. we became friends almost instantly and we completely just clicked. during reading time we would sit in the back-pack cubbie and instead of reading we would tell each other all our deepest secrets. we got to know  literally everything about each other. and its been that way practically ever since.
she's someone i should probably stay friends with for the of my life considering how much she knows.  but not that i would ever want our friendship to end. because honestly i wouldn't survive. when she went to lake powell for 5 days,  i practically died.
yesterday i had a completely break down. and she completely understood. and i'm sure she's the only one that did. and when i talked to her she made everything better. (:
when i need help with anything i go to her. today i realized something. a problem. a huge one. and if i told it to anyone i would seem selfish and rude. but i knew i could turn to her. and guess what? she had realized the exact same thing. and she completely understood me. everything about it.
i say things around her that would be extremely awkward to practically everyone else. haha but not her (:
she always says exactly the right thing to brighten my day. just being around her makes me happy. and you know when that cute kid waves to you and you get butterflies?  well its practically like this every time i see her (: and speaking of cute kids we have the same taste in guys. wouldn't be surprised if we married twins (:
if we're sitting accross the class from each other and i make a face or mouth something she knows exactly what i'm trying to say. i've tried it with other friends. ha it never works. she's the only one that gets it. once again, we think alike. (:
also beth is drop dead gorgeous. literally all the guys turn to look when she walks by. (: and she has the prettiest smile in this world. her teeth are amazingly white and perfectly straight. and her eyes are amazing. they're dazel we've decided. (: they're light green with a dark blue on the edges.
so beth. thanks (: i am tempted to put you as my daily favorite every day. thanks for being my best friend. and dealing with me when i get mad. or confused. or juts need to vent. thanks for pretending you care and giving meaningful advice (:  thanks for saying things that make me laugh when i'm in a bad mood. even if sometimes they are completely ridiculous and make no sense (:
you really are my favorite (: -brit

considering the blog name is..

you know those small pointless things that really shouldn't matter but make your day anyways?
for example when i was doing my science homework and the textbook stated something was serendipity.

wardie movie night (:

"sometimes you have to be apart from the people you love, but that doesn't make you love them any less. sometimes it makes you love them more."

to celebrate finally being done with our "new to you/young womens free sale" we had a movie party to celebrate.
this movie was everything it was said to be and more.
the perfect chick flick.
a cute love story, hilarious, and i wasn't crying, i was sobbing.
oh and isn't it completely serendipity at the beginning when they keep on running into each other? even when she is completely trying to avoid him? (:
perfect for a wardie movie night.
and definitely added to my list of favorites (:

serendipity.

"serendipity. look for something, find something else, and realize that what you've found is more suited to your needs than what you thought you were looking for."
~someone who knew what they were talking about.

everything happens for a reason. and every action brings a reaction.
it's not always going to be what we want, or what we're expecting but it will always work out for the better in the end.
i don't believe in coincidences. there's something you can learn from every experience and every person you meet can influence you in some way.
so regret nothing. go about each day with a smile on your face.
and truly live your life. (:
