a year ago at this exact moment. my first post on this blog was written...
prologue: i was introduced to meg's blog and that's where my love for blogging began. i had a best friend move to mexico for the summer. we needed a way to keep her updated, and share pictures, other than just e-mails. so we made a blog. it died. but considering it was a shared one, and i had to much to say, i made of my own... and that's where this story starts.
month two: i went on some insane blogging frenzy and posted ridiculous amounts. summer was ending and we went on numerous adventures. i went to efy and it changed my life. i was truly happy with just being me, and not trying to be anyone else. i loved life and i never wanted summer to end. school started and i missed summer immensely.
month three: it was a super good month. i finally accepted the fact that school was in session and there was nothing i could do about it. so i made the best of it. i liked a kid. i made tons and tons of new friends and i was happy. i finally got the hang of blogging, and my writing improved, and i got a few more followers.
month four: i had some amazing days, but lots of not so good too. there were a couple weeks when it seemed like everything was falling apart. and i couldn't take it any longer.
month five: life began to fly past me. and i wished for things to slow down. school consumed all my energy and time, and my number of posts decreased. everyone hit a rough patch, there was drama at school, people were acting different, and all i wanted was for it to be summer again.
month six: school was hard. i cried a lot. i felt like i wasn't myself. and the Christmas spirit wasn't around. Christmas break finally came around and i recovered from the insane amount of stress and lack of sleep that i'd been experiencing. i enjoyed doing absolutely nothing, i was carefree, lots of family time was spent and i dreaded school starting back up again.
month seven: it was an average month. i hated the winter. life was dull and i had little to blog about. i started the 30 days thing and gave up after nine. but the attempt is something every blogger has to experience at one point right?
month eight: school was hard. but i stopped letting it get me stressed. i was carefree and found reasons to be happy anyways. i finally felt like i was living again not just going through the motions. also, my followers continued to increase.
month nine: life got crazy busy as i started up track and school work increased but i was happier than ever. i loved my friends and i loved my life. i made tons and tons of new friends, i was madly infatuated with a boy and i craved summer.
month ten: i was super happy. i had the greatest spring break i could imagine, my liking for said boy continued to increase, i didn't sleep nearly enough, and it felt like summer. the amount of followers i had shot up along with the amount of comments i was getting.
month eleven: it was hard. days dragged on. there was no excitement. there were ups and downs daily. i cried often. it was hard. and i started to doubt myself.. i was giving up and i needed summer.
month twelve: that would be this one. school got out. i realized how experiences had shaped me. the unimaginable happened. and there were a couple unexpected bumps in the road. i cried lots but eventually was reminded you just have to let things go. i partied and i loved the fact it was summer. i played and relaxed all day everyday. i truly lived. and loved. everyone. everything.
and that's the current standing.
389 posts. 246 private posts. lots of drafts.
and 12 months later.
i'm stronger than i was. emotionally and mentally. blogging has taught me so much. about myself and about life. my testimony has grown, and you guys have blessed my life. i've been able to look back on experiences and seen how they've helped me grow. and because of it all. i am who i am today.
and i'm truly happy.
I adore you. Simple as that.
