story time.

hey kids, this post is super juicy. well, maybe not.

he was a boy who i'd definitely noticed. and if i'm being honest, his shoes were probably the reason i did notice. toward the end of junior year, one of his friends started liking me, and because of that we developed some mutual friends....
i always thought you were cute, and made a point to talk to you any chance i got, whether it was walking out to our cars, or moving over to sit fairly close to you at soccer games. secretly, i wanted to get you to like me, but i thought nothing more of the situation.
fast forward to about half way through this year. i became super good friends with your little posse, and i hung out with some them fairly often. you were probably there at least a couple of the times, but i don't remember. except one time, we played mario kart, i was doing incredible, and then i lost. we flirted about it, but i happened to completely be swooning over someone else that night, maybe a couple other people, i was still just trying to get you to like me, for who knows why.
a seperate night, Maddie and i were in a 'we don't want to hang out with anyone but ourselves' mood, so we crashed at her house where our little sisters were having a soccer party. well, his sister was there too. it was one of those night where i'm crazy and over dramatic about everything, Madd exaggerates my life to make me sound completely boy crazy, and really we just laugh about it all night. (that setting to most people probably made no sense, but that's really how it goes) well, jenn and his little sister happened to come in on this conversation that night. and jokingly Maddie made me out to be completely obsessed with him. i've always thought he was cute so i went right a long with it.
our sisters say they had nothing to do with it, but about a week later he asked me to prom. as terrible as it sounds, i'd been a little nervous about who might ask me.. and was just grateful to be going with him, and also to be in the group with a lot of my good friends. that excitement grew, and the topic of my journal entries switched. we hung out at least one night most weekends and texted a little.
prom was imperfectly perfect. and that's the only way i could put it.
as for everything inbetween then and now, i'm still analyzing it i guess. because it seems like more than it is, or maybe the other way around. i try my best not to let my imagination take over th situations and just be realistic. i'm still trying to decide on the current situation so i'm not sure what to tell you. really, i'd just like to be best friends and hang out all summer long.
i feel like there's more i should say, but like i said i'm not sure what. and i'm not quite sure how to end this post. so, the end. he leaves on his mission at the end of the summer.
